By donating evening gowns, you will be one of many people responsible for making one girls prom dreams come true. We know you have a big heart but there are a few things that we have to advise you of. When donating dresses, you must adhere to the following guidelines.
- Dresses MUST be from 2004 to present.
- Dresses MUST be dry-cleaned and on hangers.
- Dresses MUST be prom dresses, formal gowns, or fancy party dresses.
- Accessories MUST be stylish, clean, and in excellent condition.
- Shoes must be new or very gently used.
We cannot accept:
- garments that are out of style (purchased before 2002)
- garments that have not been dry-cleaned
- make-up
- casual or semi-formal clothing
- wedding dresses
- tuxedos or men’s clothes
*NOTE* We are in the process of scheduling drop off locations and days. If you have a dress you would like to donate call Stephanie Danforth at (313) 492-1991 and we can arrange a time and place to pick it up.
There are a number ways that you and your community can make the Pretty Girl Prom Project a success. No form of kindness will be turned away. Below are some suggestions on how you can assist in making these Pretty Girl’s Dreams Come true. If the below volunteer methods are not suitable for you and you have something more specialized in mind, don’t hesitate to call us.
